Beth is a native of Grove City, Pennsylvania. She and her husband Mont have chosen to stay in Grove City to raise their two boys, Caden 10, and Colton 6. Beth graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan College with a degree in Elementary Education, with an emphasis in Special Education, and a minor in Psychology. Following her formal education, she moved back to the area and worked in Beaver, Pennsylvania at McGuire Memorial Home, a residential school for children with special needs. After teaching several years Beth felt God was calling her into youth ministry. In response to that call, she ministered to youth of all ages for the next 10 years. Beth also has a passion to equip women to know God’s Word and walk it out in their everyday lives. She has led women’s Bible studies, home groups, has been the guest speaker at Grove City College and women’s retreats in the Pennsylvania area. She also regularly ministered at “Higher Grounds” ministry, a local outreach in downtown Grove City.
Beth has attended the Grove City Alliance Church for the past two years where God continues His amazing work in her heart, providing opportunities for her to grow in her faith, help with the women’s ministry, speak at women’s retreats, and share her heart with the teenagers of the church. She is often in awe of how God moves, how clearly He speaks, and how powerful His word really is. She considers it an amazing privilege to be called to share it.
Cindy grew up in Western Pennsylvania and met her husband Lance at Grove City College. Over the years she has taught middle school, high school and college physics and earned her Master’s degree in Science Education from Clarion University. Cindy and Lance have been married for 17 years and have five children: Noah-14, Caleb-12, Libby-10, Tessa-7 and Judah-5. They continue to live in Grove City where they worship God faithfully each week at Grove City Alliance Church. Lance serves as an elder and Cindy leads Bible studies for women. Together they lead children in worship and prayer each week during Sunday school, speak and lead worship at AWANA and enjoy ministering to children each year at VBS. Cindy and Lance count it a privilege to share the gospel and give the Lord glory for the hundreds who have responded and received Christ as their Lord and Savior during their ministry. In addition to teaching physics, part-time, at Slippery Rock University for the past 9 years, she also owns her own photography business, Shooting Starr Photography; enjoys scrapbooking as a Creative Memories Consultant; and spends lots of time as a soccer mom and volunteer for the local soccer association.
Cindy loves the Lord, and she loves people. She has the gift of teaching and an amazing ability to use analogies to bring God’s truth to life for women and children. Cindy is also a gifted story teller, and she also loves to write. Her first children’s book is ready for publication. She has spoken at women’s retreats, special events and Christian conferences. She had the awesome privilege of becoming dear friends with France J. Roberts, author of Come Away My Beloved, one of Cindy’s all-time favorite books. Equipping others to identify the Lord’s voice and the call on their lives is Cindy’s passion. Her prayer and desire is to minister in spirit and in truth and to bring forth a fresh word in due season for the woman and children of our church, community and world.
Be sure to check out our bookstore at the retreat! We will have many wonderful items available. 20% of all proceeds will be donated to Heart to Heart Ministries. Why not consider doing some early Christmas shopping while you are there?
